Rudy Vermeersch earned his degree in Applied Economics from KU Leuven in 1989 and took a postgraduate degree in Accountancy at VLEKHO Business School from 1991 to 1993. He received an Executive MSc in Risk and Investment Management from EDHEC Business School in 2012. Starting out as a junior trader in 1991, he worked for Cordius / Dexia Asset Management and Candriam Investors Group before joining Société Générale Private Banking as Head of Wealth Management. After ABN AMRO Private Banking's acquisition in 2019, he became Head of Investment Centre Belgium, which is responsible for asset management. He has extensive experience in financial instruments, asset allocation and the management of funds and mandates.
