What is Comfort ESG Investment Advice?

You make your own investment decisions and want to handle your assets in a down-to-earth manner. But on the road toward your investment goal, you like to be advised by a knowledgeable Investment Advisor. Someone who feels responsible and who follows your investment portfolio.

With Comfort ESG Investment Advice, you benefit from our reliable research information and professional knowledge. This allows you to avoid risks and take full advantage of attractive investment opportunities.

An important risk taken into account by the Investment Adviser is sustainability risk. This risk is mitigated by observing various exclusions when giving (most of) the investment recommendations. More information can be found under 'Sustainability Profiles', 'Sustainability Information' as well as under 'ESG and Sustainable Investment'.

What are the investment opportunities?

You invest within Comfort ESG Investment Advice mainly in investment funds and ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and this within an open architecture.

The investment universe is determined by ABN AMRO Investment Solutions, a subsidiary of ABN AMRO. They offer a range of investment funds by selecting external fund managers. This gives clients access to distinctive strategies that are often not accessible to private investors in Belgium.

How do I make a trade?

You submit your investment orders quickly and easily through your Investment Advisor.
Risk Profiles

ABN AMRO uses six risk profiles for Investment Advice: from low risk (very defensive) to very high risk (very aggressive). Each risk profile has its own recommended allocation for the assets invested across shares, bonds, alternative investments and cash. Once you and your Investment Advisor have determined your risk profile, we can put together an appropriate investment portfolio. You will see immediately what this can mean for the return on your investments.

Read the brochure ' A closer look at your investor profile '.

Sustainability profiles

ABN AMRO uses five sustainability profiles: from 'Basic' (minimum sustainability criteria) to 'Taxonomy-aligned' (maximum sustainability criteria). Each concept within Investment Advice is linked to a sustainability profile which in turn can be linked to the client's acquired sustainability preferences.

Comfort ESG Investment Advice is linked to the sustainability profile 'ESG'. Here various exclusions are applied to promote environmental (Environmental) and social (Social) factors. In addition, most companies we advise on are required to adopt good governance practices.

More information can be found in our brochure ' Your sustainability profile '.

Sustainable Financial Disclosure

Following the European Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the Bank informs you of how sustainability risks are taken into account in its investment decisions.

Investing involves risks

Investing can be interesting, but it also involves risks. You could lose part or all of your invested capital. That is why we recommend that you only invest money that you do not need immediately and that you always retain a buffer for unforeseen expenses. Furthermore, we advise you to only invest in investment products that you understand or with which you already have some experience. Read below about the most common risks of investing.
